The Mockingbirds - Daisy Whitney Let's be fair, the minute I get my hands on Insurgent, I'm going to put this aside until that's done.

I did end up reading Insurgent before I read this one. I'm not sure I'm glad I did. This was a good book and the mini cliff hangers at the end of the chapters kept me reading far beyond when I should have put the nook down and gone to bed.

I liked Alex. I loved Martin. Who doesn't want their very own science geek? The Mockingbirds were fun, and so were Alex's roommates.

The subject matter was a bit difficult to read, but I knew that going in. My heart broke when she started to feel as though it was her fault because her hands were on his back. I go SO angry at Carter for calling her and then lying like a little bitch at the trail, but the way Maia handed his ass to him made that all worth it.
